Community Consultation

The policy of Falck Renewables has always been to work closely with the local community throughout the planning, construction, and operation of Falck’s wind farms.

The communication and interactions begin early and continue throughout the development process.

  • During the early of site identification, design, and planning studies, Falck holds a series of targeted consultations with all stake-holders that have an interest in the project. The final design of the project evolves as a result of this process, taking into account the opinions and needs of local community members.
  • In the course of wind farm construction, Falck places great importance on working closely with local authorities and land owners and seeking opportunities to include local suppliers and contractors. Liaison committees are set up with representatives of the local communities and through these liaison committees Falck is able to keep the local communities informed of progress and respond to any concerns or issues raised.
  • When a wind farm is operating, Falck frequently organises visits an in particular school excursions. Falck is committed to working with local schools to promote a better understanding of renewable energy.
