Falck Renewables to monitor wind farms across Europe from new offices
A new hi-tech operation which will monitor output from wind farms across Europe was opened by wind farm developers Falck Renewables. It was part of a hat trick in the Highlands this week as they carried out opening ceremonies for three new projects.Â
Falck Renewables Plc (Falck Group) inaugurated on 11 June the Minervino Murge wind farm, which consists of 26 wind turbines supplied by Nordex, with a total capacity of 52 MW.
It is the Group’s first wind farm entering into operation in Italy and is part of an important program to develop, finance, construct and manage wind farms that commenced in 2002 and that today brings the Group to a total of more than 350 MW installed wind capacity across Europe: in Italy, France, Spain, Scotland, Wales, with a target of 1,000 MW in total.
A UNIQUE scheme encouraging Highland children to read has been backed by Inverness-based wind farm company Falck Renewables with sponsorship worth ÂŁ2,000.
The support will contribute to the costs of the first-ever Highland Children’s Book Awards, organised by a small group of school librarians, which were launched two weeks ago.
