These two projects are the first to be operated by Falck in France and represent an important part of our strategy of developing, constructing, financing and operating a high quality portfolio of wind projects in France that began in 2005. Falck Renewables requires that each of its investments are developed through open dialogue with local communities and will have a positive effect on the environment.  Mr Federico Falck,  stated  “I am delighted  to confirm that these two wind farms meet our investment requirements”.

The two projects were originally developed through a joint venture between David Energies and Nordex and built by Nordex during 2008/9 through consistent local communication and participation. Combined the projects will generate enough power to supply 16,500 homes and avoid the emission of more than 34,000 tonnes of CO2, or 450kg of nuclear waste.

The financing  for the project was provided by €26m with Landesbank Baden-Württemburg (LBBW), a leader in the funding of renewable energy projects around Europe. The projects have now been fully integrated into Falck Renewables high-tech wind farm monitoring system operated from Rennes and Inverness, Scotland.
