Construction

Site works are currently well advanced with construction of the site access tracks effectively complete. All sixteen reinforced concrete foundations have been cast using concrete generated from the on-site batching plant. Cable installation has commenced, and the first turbine components were delivered mid September 07. Following the erection of the turbines, specialist engineers will commission the equipment and subject it to intensive testing prior to final handover.

Ecological monitoring works are on-going and will continue until the end of the construction period.

The construction of a new electrical sub-station is complete. Electrical equipment installation in the Substation, as well as overhead line construction and reinforcement of the existing tower line were completed in time to achieve a grid connection date of 7th December 2007.
