Enabling works began in November 2006. Unfortunately, the Regione Sardegna recently modified its regulations for wind development, halting further construction until regional development policies are clarified. On 11 June 2007 the legal hearing for this case was held in front of the administrative court (TAR – Tribunale Amministrativo Regionale) and has produced a positive result.

At present, the wind turbines for the project have not yet been selected. Enercon, Nordex and GE, among others, have turbines that are “fit for purpose” for the wind farm.
