Since 2014 he chairs the Board of Directors of Falck Renewables S.p.A.
Born in Milan on 28 May 1975, he’s father of three.
He obtained a Diploma in Marketing and Finance from the European Business School of Milan in 2000 and a Master's Degree in Small Businesses from the Luigi Bocconi University of Milan in 2002.
He gained professional experience in the business-financial sector in some Italian industrial groups (Medinvest SpA, the Pandolfo Group) and international consulting firms (McKinsey & Company).
He joined the family Group in 2004, dealing with project finance and new projects development in waste-to-energy sector and integrated urban waste cycle management.
In 2007 he worked on project development for electricity production from agroforestry sources, in particular from biogas from the agricultural supply chain. In 2010 he became assistant to the Chairman, giving a new impulse to the generational succession and managing the operational aspects of the Board of Directors and the relationship with the Managing Director. In 2012 he took part in the project to consolidate all the activities of energy production from renewable sources of the Falck Group within Actelios S.p.A., today Falck Renewables S.p.A., one of the most important European pure players in the renewable energy sector, with a total installed capacity of 970 MW (2018) in Italy, United Kingdom, France, Spain and USA. He holds various roles on the boards of the main Italian trade associations, such as Elettricità Futura and Anie, and is involved in voluntary work through his chairmanship of Fondazione Sodalitas and the role of director in Fondazione Vidas.
Since 2016, he has been CEO and General Manager of Falck Renewables S.p.A.
Toni Volpe leads the Group in achieving its mission: to create shared and lasting value for all stakeholders in full respect of the environment that surrounds us, through the generation of clean energy and the provision of services in the management of processes along the entire renewable supply chain.
Born in Salerno on 3 May 1972, he graduated cum laude from the "Politecnico" University of Milan in Management, Industrial and Economics Engineering in 1997 and obtained an MBA from the Columbia University School of Business of New York in 2002. He gained experience in Marseilles, France, at Decathlon and from 1998 in management consultancy at Bain & Company in Milan. He moved to the energy sector in 2004 joining the Corporate Strategy Department of the Enel Group in Rome. He assumed the role of CEO and Chairman of Enel Green Power North America in 2005 in Boston, USA, then the role of Enel Group HR Planning and Development in 2011 and, in 2014, that of Country Manager and CEO of Enel Romania in Bucharest.
Since 2020 he has also joined the Board of Wind Europe.
Javier Asensio is Head of Falck Renewables Spain.
Javier holds a MSc in Engineering from Valencia Technical University (Spain), and an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) of Lausanne (Switzerland). He has over seventeen years of experience in engineering and project management, and over ten years specifically in the renewable energies industry. Javier’s experience is wide both in terms of competences and of jurisdictions, having worked in the investment, construction and management areas of more than 500 MW of solar and wind projects in the United Kingdom, Spain, France and India. Before joining Vector Cuatro and Falck Renewables, Javier served as Chief Operating Officer at Quercus Investment Partners, and held further management roles at OST Energy, Proener and Indra Sistemas.
Marco Cittadini is Global Head of Energy Management & Downstream Services in Falck Renewables S.p.A.
Marco holds a MSc in Engineering and a Postgraduate Master’s Degree in International Economics from SDA Bocconi University in Milan. From 2001 until 2004 he worked in Sapient Corporation, a consultancy company focused on digital innovation. From 1997 to 2000 he was based in the UK and worked for the American group Allegheny Technologies. Later, he was CEO of Poyry Energy S.r.l. in Italy. For the same Finnish Group, he also held international-level positions in Zurich, in management and technical consulting services for renewables resources and energy markets. Until 2016, he was Head of Strategy and Innovation at Siram S.p.A. as well as CEO of Simav S.p.A. (both companies of the French Veolia Group).
Since 2017 he is Global Head of Business Development and M&A. Carmelo Scalone leads an international team whose main mission is the expansion of Falck Renewables S.p.A.'s portfolio and international presence.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from La Sapienza University in Rome and completed a Business Administration course at SDA Bocconi in Milan and an Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Barcelona. Before joining Falck Renewables in 2017, he was on the Executive Committee of EDF Energies Nouvelles in Paris, with global responsibility for Business Development. He has worked in the renewable energy sector since 2000. Between 2000 and 2007, he served as CEO of Gamesa Energía Italia in Rome and later as Executive Vice President of the Gamesa Group for the entire Mediterranean region. Between 2007 and 2013, he was Executive Vice President of the Business Development area of EDP Renewables in Madrid. He started his career at ABB, in Italy and Sweden, covering during 8 years roles of increasing responsibility, including Chief Commercial Officer in ABB Energy Automation.
Scott Gilbert is Global Head of Engineering and Construction for Falck Renewables S.p.A., responsible for ensuring that new Group assets are appropriately engineered, procured, constructed and delivered into commercial operations, safely and sustainably, in line with strategic objectives. Scott also undertakes the organization and management of the Group’s companies in Norway and Sweden. He joined Falck Renewables in 2009 and worked as a Project Manager, then Head of Design and Construction.
Scott holds a degree in Civil & Transportation Engineering from Napier University in Edinburgh, and spent the first 10 years of his career with Balfour Beatty Group, also working with Sweco, a leading European engineering consultancy.
Since 2020 he has joined Falck Renewables S.p.A as Head of Thermal Generation coordinating a team of about 60 people in charge of the operation and maintenance of the Group's thermal plants, the commercial and operational management of fuels and by-products and the definition and implementation of plant improvements. Since the beginning of 2021 he is also Head of the Procurement and General Services unit managing the strategic purchases for the Italian SPVs and the services/supplies for the Italian offices of the Group.
Born in Cava de' Tirreni in 1982, he graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Salerno. He began his professional career as a thermo-fluid dynamics and structural researcher in the Automotive and Industrial plant engineering fields, developing new products with innovative technologies. In 2008 he joined Enel dealing with Operation and Maintenance for several Italian thermal power plants of the Group. After moving to Chile in 2015, he held positions of increasing responsibility until he became Head of the HSEQ Unit for the Group's thermal companies operating in Chile and Argentina.
Since 2016 Massimo Meda has been Head of Asset Governance for Falck Renewables’ Italian solar and wind companies and manages owned assets, consistent with applicable laws and group policies.
He graduated in Electrical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and started working in Pirelli S.p.A. (today Prysmian) in the undersea cables sector. Later he joined AEM (today a2a), where he dealt with tariff systems for energy products that were under a monopoly regime at that time. Following the liberalization of the electricity market in 1999, he directed the start-up of the energy division of Camuzzi Group (later acquired by Enel). In 2002 he joined Svizzera Atel (now Alpiq), where he developed the company’s presence on the Italian market for the supply to industrial customers, and he was the first in Italy to start supplying to resellers. In 2007 he joined Actelios (today Falck Renewables), where he worked in agro-energy and developed wood biomass, vegetable oil and biogas projects. When Falck Renewables was established, he led the Energy and Portfolio Management unit and started the energy dispatching and trading company Falck Renewables Energy S.r.l. From 2014 to 2016 he was Energy Director at the Terni steelworks for the German multinational ThyssenKrupp.
Richard Dibley is Head of Asset Governance for the UK, responsible for the governance of the Group’s 12 projects in the UK totalling 413MW of operating assets. He joined the Group in 2013, and he initially worked in Business Development, Regulatory Affairs, and he was appointed as Director of Falck Renewables’ UK companies in 2017.
Richard’s career in wind energy began in technical and environmental consultancy, after completing a BSc Geology degree from the University of Edinburgh in 1996 and an MSc master’s degree in Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines (CSM) in 1997.
Working in various international markets including the USA, Canada and later focusing on the UK, Richard supported a considerable number and variety of wind energy development companies from small independent developers through to major utilities. Services included the management of feasibility studies, technical and commercial assessment of projects, undertaking environmental impact assessment (EIA) and securing planning consents for projects.
Born in Turin on October 25, 1967, he graduated with honors in Economics from the University of Turin in 1992 after having served in the “Carabinieri” Corps and collaborated with SAA - School of Management. He worked in Italy, Denmark and the United States for Accenture, Olivetti, Enel, RSA and Sella. During his experiences in the IT consulting, energy and financial services sectors he worked in international contexts covering the role of CFO in Olivetti Denmark, Enel Latin America, Enel North America and RSA where from 2009 to 2015 he held the role of CEO Italy. After a five-year experience in Sella, where he built, launched, and brought to full operation Centrico, technological provider of open core banking systems, he is currently Global Head of Asset Management and Technical Advisory of Falck Renewables S.p.A.
Since 2012 he is Head of Internal Audit. Siro Tasca manages a team in charge of verifying the operation and suitability of the Group's internal control and risk management system, through an Audit Plan, based on a structured process of analysis and prioritization of the main risks. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Falck Renewables S.p.A., Secretary of the Control and Risk Committee of Renewables S.p.A. and a member of the Supervisory Board of the main Italian subsidiaries of the Group.
After graduating in Business Administration at the Catholic University of Sacred Heart in Milan, he held the positions of Manager and Senior Manager for Arthur Andersen and Deloitte Consulting, dealing first with audit and acquisition projects and then with consultancy in the Finance area. In 2004 he was one of the founders in Italy of Protiviti, a multinational management consulting group, where he worked as Director until 2012, dealing with Internal Auditing and Risk Management services, in particular in the manufacturing and energy sectors.
He has been with the Falck Group since May 2009, first as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Management Services and then as Group Chief Financial Officer, as well as Financial Reporting Officer.
Paolo Rundeddu manages the AFP&C structure of the group (Administration, Finance, Tax, Planning and Control and Investor relations).
He graduated cum laude in 1990 in Economics and Commerce, degree course in Social Economic Disciplines, at Bocconi University in Milan. He started his working career in Andersen Consulting, and then in 1991 he moved to ABB Finanziaria dealing with interest rate trading. From 1997 to 2001 he was with Merloni Elettrodomestici S.p.A. as Group Treasury Director and Insurance Risk Manager.
From 2001 to 2004 he was Financial Director and Investor Relator of H3G S.p.A., supporting the launch of UMTS technology under the "3" brand. From 2004 to 2009 he worked in AEM S.p.A. then A2A S.p.A., as Director of Finance and Administration and Manager in charge of drafting accounting documents and in 2008-2009 he was also responsible for Purchasing and Logistics.
Since 2017 she joined Falck Renewables with the role of Group General Counsel and General Secretary. Lucia Monti is responsible for the Group's legal and corporate affairs. With the support of her team - and occasionally of external legal advisors - she is in charge of the management of all legal activities, both ordinary and extraordinary, both extrajudicial and judicial as well as of all corporate and compliance matters. The scope of all the activities carried out concerns both the listed company and the other companies of the Group at national and international level. He is also Secretary to the Board of Directors of the listed company Falck Renewables SpA.
Graduated in Law at the Catholic University of Milan with a Master in International Affairs at ISPI, she started her career in 1996 at some international law firms in London, gaining significant experience in the field of M&A. After qualifying as a lawyer, she held senior positions in Milan with international law firms and engineering companies. Before joining Falck Group, she followed several important M&A and development transactions in ERG Group where she spent almost 10 years. Since 2014, in ERG Renew S.p.A., she has been appointed General Counsel.
Since April 2021, she joined Falck Renewables S.p.A as Global Head of Communication & Stakeholder Engagement. Simona Gambini was born in Milan and grew up mostly in Switzerland. She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics and Organizational Psychology from the University of Zurich as well as an Executive Masters of Science in Communications Management from the University of Lugano. Simona has more than 20 years of international leadership experience in listed corporations, a consistent track record as communications and marketing executive with special expertise in branding, media and investor relations, crisis communications and B2B marketing within multiple industries (energy/utility, manufacturing, metals & mining, financial services).
She has worked as a manager for several corporations like Zurcher Verkehrsverbund ZVV, Landqart AG, STOXX Ltd. In 2004, she joined Leica Geosystem as Director Global Marketing and Communication. From 2007 to 2010, she performed her duties as Head of Corporate Communication in Vimetco and then, from 2010 to 2016, in CKW AG as well as in Ors Group, until 2018. In 2018, she joined Saurer Group as Head of Corporate Communications.
Since 2017 she has been Global Head of HR & Organization at Falck Renewables S.p.A. Anastasia Titova manages a team whose mission is to create and promote opportunities to grow, learn and thrive as individuals, teams and organizations, developing a professional environment founded on the principles of fairness, equity and inclusion.
She graduated with honors from the Siberian University of the City of Kemerovo, first in Linguistics and Literature (1997) and later in Economics and Finance (2002). In 2003 she obtained the Master in Management and Economics of Energy and Environment at Eni Corporate University and in 2005 the CIPD certification in HR and Development. She began her professional career in 1997 in the Oil & Gas sector, where over the last ten years she has acquired numerous experiences in the field of human resources, working on significant projects in Russia for important multinational companies such as Occidental Petroleum, Shell, Petrofac International. In 2007 she entered the Energy sector with Enel Group in Russia, where she participated in the acquisition and integration of the Russian company in the Group's business and where she worked for ten years covering different roles of HR responsibility, in the renewable & conventional generation, distribution, corporate structures business.
Since 2018 she is Chief Digital and Information Officer. Michela Bambara is responsible for the digital transformation path of Falck Renewables and its subsidiaries with the aim of promoting the digitalization process and developing and marketing digital solutions and services in accordance with the Group's strategic objectives.
Graduated in Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, with a Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Strategic Management of ICT, Michela has many years of experience in digital transformation projects and technological innovation supporting business processes.
She began her career in 2000 in some of the most important consulting firms, and then took on managerial roles in some of the major Italian utilities in the energy field. In Edison, she was responsible for the ICT development of the commercial area at the time when the company was entering the mass market following the liberalization of the energy sector. In 2010 she joined Snam and she dealt with Digital Transformation, at first with a focus on Operation projects and later as Head of Demand and Project Delivery.
Since 2013 Antonino Callaci joined Falck Renewables as Senior Internal Audit and, subsequently, in 2018 he became Global Head of Risk Management and Business Continuity with the responsibility of defining, in accordance with the Process Owners, the Group's Business Continuity strategy and managing the Enterprise Risk Management framework for the identification, measurement, management and reporting of risks within the different business sectors in which the Group operates.
Graduated with honors in Business Administration from the University of Pisa, he obtained in 2005 the Master in Auditing and Internal Control at the same University and in 2018 he finalized the Executive Path in Enterprise Risk Management at MIP, the Business School of the Politecnico di Milano.
He began his professional career in 2005 as a Process Analyst at ABB, and then continued until 2012 in Protiviti, a multinational management consulting group leader in the analysis and design of models of Governance, Organization and Control, with which he managed in the Risk & Compliance solution numerous projects for companies operating in different sectors, both in Italy and abroad.
Since September 2018 Alessia Galbiati has been Global Head of QHSE of Falck Renewables. Alessia Galbiati and her team are responsible for ensuring high QHSE standards throughout the group.
She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and has worked in Health & Safety since 1999, with increasingly higher roles in major pharmaceutical/chemical multinationals. She was Head of Safety at Smithkline Beecham, and Officer of the scientific and technical division at Federchimica. Later she joined BASF, where she held the role of HSE Manager for the South Europe Business Centre and acquired skills in a range of sectors, including Fine Chemicals, Coil, Coating, Polyurethanes. During the time at BASF, she was responsible for Due Diligence activities for the acquisition and integration of Degussa Construction Chemicals, Engelhard and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. She was also a member of BASF's Responsible Care Europe. Following a brief experience in Schering Plough in 2010, she joined Bracco as Head of HSE, in charge of corporate and governance responsibilities for all of Bracco's business lines. Furthermore, she was a member of the Responsible Care and Emergency Transport Service directive committee of Federchimica.
