Falck Renewables, with the aim of guaranteeing compliance with regulations, continuous
improvement and the sharing of Best Practices, has set up a team of internal and certified
auditors, which on the basis of an annual plan agreed with the company's top management,
carries out targeted inspections on its own sites and on strategic suppliers to monitor the
performance of the QHSE management systems.
The scope of activity is broad and can cover governance of the organisation, risk
management, internal controls, protection of the environment and assets, and compliance with
laws and regulations.
Team members have different skills but are all QHSE Managers, which ensures that they have a
different perspective and a greater chance of identifying areas for improvement and good
practice that are then shared across the Group.
For Renantis, training on HSE issues is not only a legal obligation but a form of investment in its people. We consider of primary importance the necessity to create and improve the culture of safety within all our companies.
In order to manage the training in a more efficient way, the training courses, defined by the State-Region agreement, for the newly hired employees have been internalised, in order to be able to better modulate the contents and to focus with greater attention on the relevant topics for us.
Management Systems are internationally recognised tools that a company may decide to use to improve its performance and manage its responsibilities in a systematic way, taking into account both legal requirements and the objectives set by the Policy.
Inspired by the principle of continuous improvement and the adoption of indices for measuring performance, the Management Systems follow a methodology based on four phases:
•planning of objectives and processes to achieve the results prescribed by the Policy;
•implementation of the planned processes;
•verification of the processes with respect to the objectives, the Policy and the legal requirements;
•initiation of improvement actions of the Management System.
With this in mind, Renantis has defined a certification path for all the companies of the group, starting from the most impactful ones in terms of environment and number of employees.
In this page you can find the list of certified sites and which certifications have been achieved for each plant.
We would also like to remind you that one of the Group's objectives is to achieve new certifications over the next five years, starting with the certification of Italian wind parks.
The company is attentive to the safety and health of its workers even when they are away on
business. Especially at such a complex time as we are experiencing due to the pandemic, ad
hoc committees have been set up to monitor and authorise travel.
Prima S.r.l., the company that owns the WTE plant in Trezzo sull'Adda (MI) as part of the Renantis, promotes a safe, integrated and sustainable working environment for all workers, direct and indirect, and an operational management that minimises environmental effects.
To this end, it manages its activities at the Trezzo sull'Adda waste-to-energy plant through a certified Integrated Management System that includes:
•Quality Management System, in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, in order to guarantee the efficiency of its services, customer satisfaction and the Group's expectations;
•and an Environmental Management, in compliance with UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, in order to guarantee an eco-compatible management by reducing the environmental impact in a perspective that looks at the entire life cycle.
The management of the waste-to-energy plant is entrusted to AMBIENTE 2000 Srl, a joint venture between Covanta Energy (www.covantaenergy.com), world leader in waste-to-energy, and Renantis.
Similarly, Ambiente 2000 Srl has an Integrated Quality, Environment and Safety Management System, compliant with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, periodically verified by a certification institute.
As part of the prevention and protection service, we carry out the following activities:
• Risk assessment for the activities carried out by Group companies in offices and
facilities
• Identification of the necessary PPE
• Management of worker training
• Emergency management
Compliance is the conformity of business activities with laws, regulations, procedures and codes of conduct.

Legislative Decree 231/01 "Regulations on the administrative liability of legal persons".
Legislative Decree 152/06 "Environmental Regulations".
Legislative Decree 196/03 "Personal Data Protection Code", the so-called "Privacy Code". Privacy Code
