Falck Renewables is among the five companies promoting the second edition of Italian “Accademia del Sole”, a specialization course for future photovoltaic installers and maintenance technicians in Italy, promoted by ELIS, under the patronage of Elettricità Futura.

Falck Renewables’ wholly owned subsidiary Vector Renewables has recently closed an agreement for the management of a 127 MW solar PV portfolio, including 30 MW of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). With this new contract, Vector Renewables establishes itself as the first independent 3rd party asset manager involved in the management of batteries in Australia.

We have launched our first community benefit scheme in Spain - and the very first in the Mediterranean area - propelled with part of the revenues of our Carrecastro windfarm, located in the municipalities of Tordesillas and Velilla, Castilla y León region.

Falck Renewables sustainability and community engagement approach has been highlighted in “The Pulse” session on WindTV at the WindEnergy Hamburg global event, organized by WindEurope (1-4 December). In a 8-minute video we showcased our commitment for the sustainability of local communities living around our wind farms, through our voice and, more importantly, through the voices of the communities themselves.

The fifth edition of Cresco Award was held on November 19, 2020. The initiative, promoted by Fondazione Sodalitas, was organized within the XXXVII Anci Assembly. We participated in this edition - as in 2019 - awarding the Municipality of L'Aquila for a participatory project of electric mobility, as part of the awards made available by the event’s partner companies, in the category "Bottom-up initiatives of local energy sustainability".

After UK and Sweden, today we are launching Falck Renewables Renewable Energy Studies Support Scheme in Spain. Students living around our wind farms in Tordesillas and Velilla (Castilla y León) and in Muel (Aragón) can apply to receive financial support in their effort to gain an education in the renewable/sustainable energy sector.

On October 29, we hosted the 3rd Falck Renewables Sustainable Community Forum with a gathering of about 70 delegates from the Local Communities living around our wind farms in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Norway.

On November 18, 2020, within the ANCI (Italian Municipalities National Association) National Assembly, we will participate in the "Cresco Award Città Sostenibili" contest digital event by Fondazione Sodalitas and we will award a “Premio Impresa” to the best bottom-up sustainable local energy initiative in Italy.
